Jenn SalcidoDirector of Marketing and Communications
As Director of Marketing and Communications, Ms. Salcido is responsible for the strategy behind and implementation of written and digital school communications, as well as the voice of Mirman School's social media accounts. She works alongside the Advancement team to tell the stories of the students, faculty, staff and larger Mirman community. She also serves on Mirman's Inclusivity and Equity Working Group and co-facilitates Alphabet Soup, the LGBTQ+ alliance in the Upper School.
Previously, she served as a writer and public relations officer at the Community College of Rhode Island, New England’s largest community college. Prior to her tenure at CCRI, she was the Assistant Director of Marketing and PR at Trinity Repertory Company, a Tony Award-winning regional theater. She has been an invited speaker on the topic of social media and marketing at national and regional conferences, and has ghostwritten books on branding and marketing strategy for recognized thought leaders. She has over a decade of experience in journalism and writing/editing for private clients, and her work has been published in Amherst Magazine, Brown Alumni Magazine, Providence Business News, Providence Journal, Providence Monthly, Rhode Island Monthly, and more. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English cum laude from Amherst College.
