Tessa McKeownDirector of Curriculum and Instruction
Tessa McKeown is an educator and administrator with more than thirteen years of experience. She holds a Gifted Certification from USC, has consulted to local independent schools on curriculum development, and presented at local and national conferences on topics related to gifted education and curriculum development. Ms. McKeown holds her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida, and M.S. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She maintains certifications in both K-6 and K-12 education.
Prior to joining Mirman, Ms. McKeown served both as a Reading and Math Specialist after serving as an elementary classroom teacher at the start of her career. She began as a classroom teacher at Mirman School before taking on the role of Director of Curriculum and Instruction. As an administrator and parent of a Mirman student, she is passionately committed to Mirman School’s mission of serving highly gifted learners.
