With a competitive nature and passion for camaraderie, Alyssa Woods began playing a variety of sports beginning at the age of 5. During her youth, she competed in baseball/softball, basketball, soccer, and track and field. She continued to play basketball and softball competitively throughout her high school career, where she began to truly fall in love with athletics. She helped her team win the Central Section Division II girls basketball title, was named to the City-County All Star Basketball team, and was a first team all-WYL selection. Upon finishing high school, Alyssa continued her athletic endeavors at San Diego State University where she played for the women’s ultimate Frisbee team for 3 years. Upon graduation, she helped coach and condition the Frisbee team for a year before beginning her master’s program.
While obtaining her M.A. in Sports and Performance Psychology, Alyssa had the pleasure of training young athletes as an intern with the Parisi Speed School in Pasadena. As a former athlete, personal trainer, and coach, Alyssa brings a vast wealth of knowledge and skills that she enjoys sharing with athletes. She has made it her personal mission to encourage, inspire, and motivate the athletes she gets the pleasure of working with.
