Stephanie Rourick first joined the Mirman School family in 2008. In those early years, she was an Assistant Teacher. In 2011, Ms. Rourick became the lead teacher in Room 1R.
Originally a native of Northern California, she came to Los Angeles in 2002 to attend California State University, Northridge (CSUN) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a collateral in Sociology. Ms. Rourick also obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUN.
Her teaching experience with gifted students has included not only her years at Mirman, but also at a charter school where she gained valuable experience working in an inclusive setting where gifted students and students with special needs learned side by side.
Ms. Rourick loves being in a diverse classroom where all of the children add to the positive classroom atmosphere.
Outside of school Ms. Rourick enjoys reading, traveling, camping, biking, and hiking. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
