Experience our Black History Month Gallery Walk, virtual style!
Mirman School faculty and staff collaborated with students to make learning visible around campus. As part of our Black History Month celebration, we took part in a school-wide "gallery walk" to take in doors decorated with information about African-American creators, activists, inventors, heroes, athletes, writers, poets, singers, and more! The Upper Schoolers took part in a scavenger hunt, roaming the campus in teams to uncover answers to questions, while the Lower School teachers led their classrooms on a path throughout campus to learn more about the rich tapestry of history and heroism on display on our doors. We ended the assembly with a rousing rendition of the traditional song, "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around," led by Paul Kay and the Concert Singers.
Check out our two videos below! The first is a virtual tour of the walk through photo slideshows, and the second is a live version of the experience courtesy of some intrepid GoPro wearers!
