Taking time on the US4 trip to help others
As the culminating activity for the US4 trip to Washington D.C., students arrived on their last morning at DC Central Kitchen to learn about the different communities the food kitchen serves. They also helped to prep meals that would feed 900 people that day. Students had jobs ranging from organizing the pantry to chopping veggies to making salads.
"It was a meaningful experience, we were able to help people while in D.C.," said Riley H.
"We had the opportunity to practice our culinary skills while helping those in need," offered Otto D.
