Science instructor Arpa Ghazarian and the "Blaze Barrier" team of Turandot S., Matteo P., and Kendall M. traveled to the D.C. area this week to present their project at the national eCYBERMISSION STEM competition
The competition is a week-long event from June 20th-24th. On June 21, the team visited with our congressmen and women at the U.S. Capitol. They met a variety of scientists and engineers from the U.S. Army throughout the week as well.
Our students were thrown into a STEM Challenge where they had to design and build a personal flotation device (PFD) or life vest out of everyday materials that could provide enough support to float an unopened can of soda for at least one minute. More updates to come! Good luck to everyone involved!
