Raised to the power of Mirman

Student Council

To continue lifting student voices and growing student leadership on campus, the Upper School Student Advisory Council (SAC) has evolved to become an elected student government model with a new group of slated officers at the start of each school year.

The Student Council serves as a representative voice of US students. As leaders, the Student Council meets regularly to brainstorm ideas and initiatives, and problem-solve issues that impact Mirman's overall community. As elected representatives, the Student Council shares ideas, interests, and concerns with administration to improve community life and student engagement.

The elected Student Council officers include a President (Eighth Grade), a Vice President (Eighth or Seventh Graders), a Treasurer (Sixth-Eighth Graders), and a Secretary (Sixth-Eighth Graders). Each grade level will be represented by two Grade Level Officers that serve on the general council. Elections take place in the Spring of each year.
